I woke up one morning
And felt the start of a new beginning

She had her ups and she had her downs
She made me laugh but sometimes she made me frown

There were times when she brought me to tears
As well as there were times she alleviated all my fears
The lessons she taught me have made me so strong
And now has me feeling as if I truly belong

Oh the way she tugged, pulled and tore at my heart
Yet keeping me together so that I didn’t have to fall apart
Yes, I can now look back with laughter, joy and a big bright smile

Vanessa Bryant stood by her husband during the media firestorm that followed an accusation that he sexually assaulted a worker at a Colorado hotel.
